The Free Technology Academy is commited to the principles of transparency, knowledge sharing and peer review that are the foundations of modern science and, more recently, the Free Software movement.

In line with these principles, all content provided in this website is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License unless otherwise especified. Moreover, all educational materials used in the FTA modules will be published under Copyleft licenses.

The FTA Campus is built upon the Campus Project, based entirely on Free Software, and new code is contributed back to the project. Our implementation is based on Moodle (LMS under a GNU GPL license).

The FTA website is built using Drupal, a Free Software Content Managment System. We also use MediaWiki and Wordpress. The website uses the Javascript library called JQuery for non-essential navigation improvements. JQuery is dual lcensed under GNU GPLv2 and a Free Software non copyleft type license.

Logo and visual identity

The FTA Logo is available for download. Please use it without altering it and respecting the visual guides we provide. The logo only represents the Free Technology Academy project.

Privacy

The information provided by users in this website (e.g., subscription to the newsletter) will never be published or communicated to third parties. This information will only be used to communicate news and events related to the FTA, and will be inmediately deleted upon request of the user. Anonymous browsing information might be collected with the purpose of improving the website.
